As a player in the Beach Collegiate Baseball League, I, understand that I’ll be under contract from 5/27/24 to 6/24/24. If I’d like to be released from the league, the front office will determine if and when that will be allowed to occur. The front office may release me from my contract but it is understood that there is no refund in the fee for the summer. All players will be expected to be prompt to all games or practices and also maintain professionalism on and off the field. The Beach Collegiate Baseball League will benefit the individual in every form possible as he abides to his commitment to the league. This contract will place this player in the league and guarantee him a roster spot. As a player in this league, I will uphold all aspects of professionalism to represent my family, the BCBL and my respective college.
Beach Collegiate Baseball League Player Insurance Waiver Adult & Minor WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY PLEASE READ BEFORE SIGNING DISCLAIMER: BEACH COLLEGIATE BASEBALL LEAGUE AND AFFILIATED COMPANIES ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INJURY (OR LOSS OF PROPERTY) TO ANY PERSON SUFFERED WHILE PLAYING, PRACTICING OR IN ANY OTHER WAY INVOLVED IN ANY ACTIVITIES FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE ON THE PART OF BCBL OR ITS AGENTS, EMPLOYEES, SPONSORS, VOLUNTEERS.THE OWNERS AND LESSORS OF THE PREMISES AND ALL OTHERS WHO ARE INVOLVED. In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way in the BCBL sports program(s), related events and activities, the undersigned acknowledges, appreciates, and agrees that: 1) The risk of injury from the activities involved in this program is significant, including the potential for permanent disability, paralysis and death, and while particular rules, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious injury does exist; and, 2) FOR MYSELF, SPOUSE OR CHILD, I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES or others, and assume full responsibility for my or my child’s participation; and, 3) I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. If I observe any unusual significant concern or hazard during my presence, participation and/or child’s readiness for participation and/or the program itself, I will remove myself or child from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately; and, 4) I give BCBL, or its designee the irrevocable right to take and use my name, picture, likeness, photograph, film, videotape, and/or verbal statement in all forms and media and in all manners for any advertising, promotional, Internet (Web Site) and/or publicity purposes of BCBL. I waive any rights I may have in connection with any use of the material, including any right to inspect or approve the finished use, including any written copy that may be created in connection with such use. 5) I, for myself, my spouse, my child, and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, HEREBY RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS THE BCBL, their officers, officials, agents, and/or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event (“RELEASEES”), WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL INJURY, DISABILITY, DEATH, or loss or damage to person or property incident to my or my child’s involvement or participation in these programs, WHETHER ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE, to the fullest extent permitted by law, 6) I understand that this waiver is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of South Carolina And agree that if any portion is held invalid the remainder of the waiver will continue in full legal force and effect. I further agree that the venue for any legal proceeding shall be in the state of South Carolina. I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT. Check off on this form if you are an Adult Participant, Coach or Umpire: PARENT/GUARDIAN OF PARTICIPANTS OF MINORITY AGE (UNDER AGE 18 AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION) This is to certify that I, as parent/guardian with legal responsibility for this participant, do consent and agree to his/her release as provided above of all the Releases, and for myself, my heirs, assigns, and next of kin, I release and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from any and all liabilities incident to my minor child’s involvement or participation in these programs as provided above, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THEIR NEGLIGENCE. I understand the seriousness of the risks involved in participating in this program, my personal responsibilities for adhering to rules and regulation, and accept them as a participant.
I. League Policy A. Arrest for misdemeanor – Immediate Removal From the BCBL B. Arrest for felony – Immediate Removal From the BCBL. C. If charges are dropped, we will allow player to stay. D. Use of Drugs-immediate removal from the BCBL E. Ejection from a Game-Suspension dependent upon seriousness of the fraction F. Fighting on field of play-Immediate Removal from the BCBL G. Damaging Housing Property-suspension or removal dependent upon seriousness H. Social Networking-any negative banter in regards to the BCBL, its staff or players will result in suspension or removal dependent upon seriousness I. League Fee – must be paid in full before the any player is to arrive II. Team policies A. Coaches may implement team rules in addition to the league policies listed above. These team rules will be discussed with student athletes before the season starts.
I. If a player is injured before 4/1/24 and cannot participate the BCBL will refund $300 of the deposit. April 1st is the cut off and no refunds will be given after that date if a player is unable to participate. II. The weather is out of our control and we will do the best to get all the games in. There are zero refunds for games that do not take place.
The BCBL has coordinated with housing management companies to supply top of line housing. Starting in 2024, players & families of the BCBL will pay for housing directly to the specific housing management company. Any questions or assistance with anything housing related will go thru whomever is the management group of the housing units. We will assist with rooming lists, etc but we DO NOT have anything to do with housing payments, rules & there on.
In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way in the BCBL LLC 2024 Season, the undersigned acknowledges, appreciates, and agrees that: 1. The risk to have direct or indirect contact with individuals who have been exposed to and/or diagnosed with one or more communicable diseases, including but not limited to COVID-19 or other medical conditions, diseases, or maladies, and/or any mutation or variation thereof does exist and it is impossible to eliminate the risk that I could become infected through contact with or close proximity to an individual with a communicable disease; 3. I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation; and, 4. I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY COMPREHEND that I as a player or coach who shows ANY SYMPTOMS particularly that of a fever of above 99.0 F towards ANY communicable illness including and not limited to Covid 19 (regardless of testing results) WILL BE REQUIRED TO IMMEDIATELY REMOVE THEMSELVES FROM ANY FIELDS AND OR HOUSING UNIT. This will begin in effect as of check in on June 1st, 2021. So as to, safely return home to quarantine. The league and it’s affiliates will also not be held liable for any return travel costs accrued. CONSEQUENTLY, I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY COMPREHEND THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS at the onset of such circumstances or any other circumstances where unforeseen events that may require early termination of the season…this will begin in effect as of check in on May 30th, 2024. 5. I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. If, however, I observe any unusual, significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself from participation and bring such hazard to the attention of the nearest official immediately; and, 6. I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, HEREBY RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS the BCBL, LLC, its officers, officials, agents and/or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, directors, sponsors, advertisers, and, if applicable, owners and lessors of the premises used to conduct the event (collectively, the “Releasees”), WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL INJURY, ILLNESS, DISABILITY, DEATH, or loss or damage to person or property, WHETHER ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE. 7. I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT.
