ABOUT

Beach Collegiate Baseball

The Beach Collegiate Baseball League (BCBL) began in May of 2012 under the guidance & direction of Owner & Commissioner Sean Lomas. The BCBL provides a phenomenal wood bat college summer baseball league in beautiful Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The league consists of collegiate players from all across the country from d1, d2, d3, juco & NAIA schools. It also has college players from colleges outside the country who come to play in the summer. Great competition & coaching, excellent staff, pristine fields, flawless atmosphere, beautiful climate & right on the beach. The BCBL is here to provide an excellent summer experience for players for many years to come.

PLAYERS

All players in the BCBL will receive a Richardson Team Fitted Hat
All Players will receive two game jerseys, belt and socks
All players will also receive BCBL League Dri-fit Shirt

BCBL

BCBL provides team helmets, coach helmets, and equipment bag
BCBL provides all Rawlings game-balls
BCBL provides five Rawlings composite team-bats per team
BCBL staff will score all games on GameChanger & update Stats
BCBL GM & Asst GMs are present at game sites
BCBL will also provide practice baseballs

COACHES

Coaches receive two game jerseys, belt, socks, BCBL Team fitted cap, League Dri-fit shirt

GEAR

Team Bats will be given to the Head & Assistant Coach at the opening day meeting along with team bag, lineup cards, game balls, practice balls and all helmets

HOUSING

Players and coaches will be housed at Magnolia Place, Magnolia North, and Magnolia Pointe.
River Oaks Resort & Golf Plantation Apartments & Condos
Magnolia & River Oaks come with several beds as well as pullout couches. These resorts do not guarantee a player his own bed. The player may bunk with another teammate or may choose to get an air mattress. The resort housing is pristine.
Housing is a 5-10 miles from the fields and beach
Laundry and dryer provided at housing locations
All rooms will come with full kitchens & utensils
Pool at all locations as well

Magnolia & River Oaks consist of:

2 and 3 bedroom apartments or condos

BCBL RULES

THE BCBL FOLLOWS ALL NCAA RULES BY THE BOOK.

THERE ARE THREE THINGS WE HAVE ADDED IN OUR LEAGUE RULES THAT ARE NOT IN THE NCAA RULE BOOK.
THOSE THREE THINGS ARE:
1. ALL BATTING LINEUPS WILL UTILIZE A DH AND AN EH. WE IMPLEMENT AN EXTRA HITTER TO GIVE PLAYERS MORE OPPORTUNITY FOR AT BATS THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER
2. PITCHING RULES WILL FOLLOW THE MLB PITCH SMART GUIDELINES
3. ALL PITCHERS MUST HAVE TURFS OR MOLDED CLEATS WHEN PITCHING ON MOUNDS AT MARKET COMMONS GRAND PARK OR NORTH MYRTLE BEACH SPORTS COMPLEX. SOME HIGH SCHOOL FIELDS ALSO USE TURF SURFACE ON MOUNDS AS WELL IN SUMMER MONTHS. NO METALS CLEATS ARE PERMITTED ON THOSE RESPECTIVE MOUNDS. POSITION PLAYER ARE ALLOWED TO WEAR METAL CLEATS.

IN/OUT

Teams do not have to take I/O before games. It is at the discretion of Head Coach. If a team does take I/O they must adhere to time constraints outlined in Operating Procedures Manual.

GAME DAY

Teams arrive at least 1 hour prior to start time of their scheduled game time.
Teams Listed First on Schedule are the AWAY team

Max of 25 Players per team
General Manager & Staff on site at all times
All coaches will have college and/or pro experience
All college players must be finishing their freshman-senior yr. in college (graduating seniors can play)
Season – Starts June 4th ends June 30th 2021
Games are at Grand Park Market Commons Turf Complex, North Myrtle Beach Sports Complex, local high schools & Pelicans Stadium
Excellent pro exposure for a college league in South Carolina & legitimate coaching to benefit the players
League will benefit players with many at bats & innings played

SCOUT DAY: $100 (Optional JUCO Players & Transfers)(More than 20 scouts will be in attendance) Reminder that our fees online are slightly higher due to a percentage fee from Paypal. You may choose to mail check to avoid the extra fees.
